According to police, Mr Zdzislaw — a resident of Puerto Princesa — arrived in the town on the afternoon of Sunday, March 17. Residents of the barangay said he was last seen walking around on his vessel on Wednesday.

After locals noticed that he had not been seen for three days, and the yacht appeared to be abandoned, barangay chairman Romeo Pacaldo and village security personnel investigated yesterday and found Mr Zdzislaw’s body.

The death has been reported to his family and the Polish Embassy in Manila. No cause of death has been announced, and an autopsy on his body is currently underway.
