One victim decided to file a case against the group, alerting the police of the scale of the multi-million peso scam.

Police say that Honey Rose Calipco, Ronald Calipco, Maui Tica and Helen Cantigan all residents of 16 Macario Street, San Francisco del Monte, Quezon City, were the culprits in the illegal recruitment.

The suspects pretended to have an agency at the Fisher Mall in Quezon City, but the transactions happened in the victims’ homes.

The team has been working since October and have been collecting money as a placement fee. After five months nobody was sent abroad, prompting one to file a case against the group.

Police followed up on the illegal operation at their rented home but only found some passports, paperwork etc… but no suspects.

A case of ‘large-scale’ estafa (fraud) will be filed against the suspects once they are found.
