Woman arrested for offering assistance to PNP applicants for P50K

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested a 35-year old woman allegedly offering assistance to police applicants for P50,000.

According to PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar, Evelyn Aleman, alias Evah Fonda, a resident of Bicutan, Taguig City, was arrested.

The suspect was arrested the same day the PNP launched the Comprehensive Online Recruitment Encrypting System (CORES).

An entrapment operation conducted in front of the Department of Science and Technology along General Santos Avenue, Upper Bicutan, Taguig City, led to the suspect’s arrest.

“May malakas ang loob pa rin na nakikipag-usap sa ating mga recruits, humihingi ng pera kapalit ng P50,000 para siguraduhin na makakapasok sila particular itong neuro-psychiatrict test,” Eleazar said at the press conference.

(There are unscrupulous individuals still negotiating with the applicants to supposedly help them in the recruitment process in exchange for P50,000, particularly the neuro-psychiatric test.)

The PNP chief said this the neuro-psychiatric is significant. This will determine if the applicant is “in the right mind” based on the parameters set by the National Police Commission (Napolcom) and the PNP Health Services.

The Anti-Cybercrime Group and the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) conducted the operation.

The suspect has been allegedly offering assistance to police applicants in her Facebook account.

“Itong suspect naghahanap ng kanyang mga kliyente para tulungan diumano na makapasok sa PNP kalapit ng P50,000 at sinasabi rin niya  na meron siyang contact sa Health Service na kung saan siya magpa-faciliate ng particular neuro-psychiatric test at babantayan pa ‘yung ibang proseso and according to her, ito ay dati na niyang ginagawa,” Eleazar further disclosed.

(This suspect is looking for her clients to help them enter the PNP in exchange for P50,000. She said that she has a contact in the Health Service who will facilitate the neuro-psychiatric test and monitor the process. According to her, she has been doing this for a long time.)

Eleazar said Aleman claimed that a Police Colonel doctor was helping her conduct the recruitment scheme.
