Woman asks help for missing husband abducted by armed men

A woman keeps thinking about what happened to her husband, who was abducted by armed men in February in Quezon City. Her husband’s companion, abducted, was found dead and wrapped in a net three days after they disappeared.

In a report by Emil Sumangil on GMA News “24 Oras” on Thursday, the missing husband was identified as Rafael Kwe, 38-years-old.

A 23-year-old tattoo artist was abducted with him on February 16 outside a convenience store in Barangay Gulod in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Three days after the abduction took place [February 19], the body of the tattoo artist was found stabbed and wrapped in a net on the shores of Laguna de Bay.

Two days [February 18] after the two were abducted in Quezon City, another tattoo artist was abducted by armed men in Pasay City.

The report does not say what happened to the man.

Kwe’s relative believes the incident was connected.

“Hindi niyo alam ‘yong sakit at hirap na pinaranas niyo sa amin. ‘Yong mga anak ko, nagkakasakit. ‘Yong mga anak ko, nagbabagsakan na sa eskwelahan,” said Kwe’s wife.

They allegedly informed the Quezon City Police District of the incident, but they have not yet received any new information from the police.

“May ongoing case ‘yan. Ang violation lang po ng asawa ko, no helmet, and no license,” she said.

“‘Kapag hindi ka nagpadala, ipapadala ko ang daliri ng asawa mo,’ ‘Kapag hindi ka nagpadala ng P30,000, ipapadala ko ‘yong ulo ng asawa mo,'” the woman added.

“Kahit wala kaming pera, kulang na lang ibenta ko ang sarili ko,” she said.

The lady plans to seek help from the National Bureau of Investigation for her husband’s case.

 Police General Guillermo Eleazar said they would cooperate with the National Bureau of Investigation’s probe into Manila cops who allegedly abducted three people.

“But at this point, let us allow the investigation of the NBI to take its course. Huwag po muna sana nating agad husgahan ang ating kapulisan” (We should avoid making premature conclusions against our cops), Eleazar said.
