Willie Revillame said he would announce in August the tough decision he will make in life. And in the face of speculations, he will run for senator in Election 2022. The host said he would not play comedy in the senate.
In the video of “Wowowin-Tutok To Win” uploaded to Youtube on Wednesday, Willie said he has a big reveal in the first week of August.
“Sa August mayroon akong malaking announcement sa inyong lahat,” he said. “Ito po desisyon sa buhay para sa akin ito at para sa ating lahat. Sana po ay maintindihan niyo.”
Although Willie did not make a direct statement on whether it was about his possible run as a senator in the 2022 elections, the TV host assured that he would not be a “kenkoy.” He added he would not steal the people’s money.
“Huwag kayong mag-alala hindi ako kenkoy sa Senado. Hindi kami magkekenkoyan. Tutulong, gagawa ng paraan, gagawa ng batas sa mga taong nagugutom. Hindi po magpapatawa doon,” he explained.
In the latest Pulse Asia survey for possible senators to run in the upcoming elections, Willie Revillame ranked 9th.

The survey was conducted from July 7 to 16, 2021.
“Hintayin niyo desisyon ko, ‘wag niyo ‘kong pangunahan. Ako ang nakakaalam kung ano ang gusto kong gawin,” Willie Revillame told those who said he would run for senator.
“At kung ano man ang tatahakin ko, maniwala kayo sa akin, wala akong gagawing kawalangyaan sa inyo. Dahil wala sa isipan ko ‘yan. Kontento na ‘ko kung anong mayroon ako at masaya ako na magpasaya sa inyo,” he said.
He also called for not belittling and insulting artists entering politics.
Willie insists it’s up to the person whether he wants to steal or do bad to others.
“Nasa tao ‘yan, nasa kabutihan ng kalooban yan. Kahit nakapagtapos ka kung masama naman ang iniisip mo, nasa isip mo magnakaw, lokohin mo kapuwa mo, hindi ba?” he explained.
“So kahit isang basurero ka lang kung ang iyong damdamin eh malinis, yung ang pinakaimportante,” he added.
