Vaccine pass so seniors could go out pushed

Presidential adviser Joey Concepcion is pushing to pursue the “vaccine pass” so that senior citizens can leave their homes.

The vaccine pass may eventually be digitized but can now be used by a local government-issued card.

“This will increase the mobility of seniors, they can move around kung may bakuna card. pati yung RT-PCR, sa Amerika if vaccinated na you can travel without RT-PCR,” said Concepcion.

Even if the vaccination pass is lost, it is said that each LGU has a record, for example, in EZ Consult of Quezon City.

But no matter how many doctors are asked, the relaxation shouldn’t be sudden by June.

“To make life very simple, huwag na nating payagan… Masyado tayong nagmamadali. Di ko maintindihan tayo huling-huli nagdesisyon na magpabakuna. What is just a few months, maliit na lang po yan compared sa kung ano pwedeng mangyari sa atin,” said Maricar Limpin, Vice President of Philippine College of Physicians.

For the federation of senior citizens, it is ok for those who have been vaccinated to eat outside but only outdoor dining should be allowed.

“Kasi sa restaurants, di mo masiguro lahat ng nagsisilbi ay talagang COVID-free, kailangan talaga kaming senior 65 years and above kahit nabakuhanan na ng doble, kailangan talagang mag-ingat,” said Jorge Banal, President of Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines-NCR.
