Vaccination in some Cavite areas delayed due to lack of supply

Vaccination against COVID-19 was stopped in some cities and towns in Cavite due to a lack of supply.

In Imus City, Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi announced that the first dose would be stopped in their area but did not say how long it will stop.

Maliksi also called on the Department of Health and several government agencies for vaccine allocation. He said many residents want to be vaccinated. The Imus vaccination team is ready to get vaccinated, just like last week when they could vaccinate 5,400 individuals in just one day.

The same announcement was made in Mendez-Nuñez Cavite for recipients of the second dose from July 12.

On the National COVID-19 Vaccinations Operations Center (NVOC) advisory, Sinovac vaccines are expected to arrive in the next two weeks.
