TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte – Both a US Army servicemen and seaman will face homicide charges by the Tacloban City Prosecutor’s Office who are accused of killing a school janitor in Tacloban City this past week.

Tacloban City Police Office City Director Sr. Supt. Domingo Say Cabillan said he will file charges against the men once the autopsy report is complete on the victim.

An initial report says that Guyon and Duran mauled 30-year-old Edwin Matiza, a janitor at San Jose Elementary School – The three were drinking inside the same bar, but not together, when Matiza suddenly threw up on Guyon – the two then began to beat-up the janitor.

The story does not end there, as the report shows that Matiza then ran outside the bar even though he was badly beaten and was hit by an oncoming vehicle – so far the only way to tell if the car or the men killed the suspect will be from the autopsy report.
