UP Diliman requests assistance for Silungang Molave isolation facility

The UP Diliman, Quezon City is asking for help this Tuesday to equip the room they will add to be isolation units for mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.

In August last year, the university opened Silungang Molave, with 59 rooms, to become a COVID-19 isolation facility. But, after receiving calls last week to see if it could still accommodate more patients, the management decided to add more room to be allocated.

Kung kaya, napagdesisyunan namin mag-expand ng additional 22 rooms,” said Dr. Aleli Bawagan, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs ng UP Diliman, in an interview with TeleRadyo on Tuesday.

According to Bawagan, they do not accept senior citizens and have comorbidities due to lack of appropriate equipment.
