Cabanban was caught in an entrapment operation where three fake vaccination cards that he sold for P3,000 each were confiscated from him.

The fake vaccination card looks similar to DOH cards but does not have the signature of the Municipal Health Officer.

Other details, such as the date, also do not match the original vaccination card, which has a dry seal.

According to the police, in November 2021, they still knew the suspect’s modus operandi.

Cabanban’s defense is that he allegedly bought a fake vaccination card for P1,000 from someone.

He also admitted that he was not vaccinated because it was forbidden in their religion, so he bought a fake vaccination card.

The suspect has been charged with Falsification of Public Document.

Due to the incident, the local government has ordered the stricter implementation of the “No Vaccination Card, No Entry.”

On Monday, four individuals surrendered a fake vaccination card and then got vaccinated as well.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has warned the public that anyone who shows a fake  card can be prosecuted.

This is related to implementing the “no vaccine, no ride” policy in the National Capital Region.

Unvaxxed in Taguig brought to vaccination hub

Taguig City has implemented a “caring approach” at their checkpoints.

The city ordered the setting up of vaccination registration booths and the deployment of shuttle vehicles at its checkpoints.

It aims to offer and register those who do not have the vaccine immediately on their online portal and will also be immediately delivered by vehicle to vaccination sites.

The program was initiated to ensure that residents who want to be vaccinated will have easier access to vaccination.

About 450 unvaccinated people who were picked up at checkpoints and wanted to be vaccinated were brought to the city’s vaccination hubs and given the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on the first day of its implementation.

Based on the latest records of Taguig City, 736,615 individuals have been vaccinated or represent 84 percent of the city’s Projected Population. In addition, Taguig has also been able to provide more than 100,000 booster shots.
