Two boys, both 10 years old were killed after a man’s gun went off as a neighbour tried to break-up a fighting couple.

The accident also critically wounded another man – the incident happened in Parola Compound in Tondo, Manila.

Jemar Lascon was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital after he sustained a bullet wound to his chest – Gerald San Jose died an hour later due to wounds to his head and eye.

55-year-old Luis Almajuela is in critical condition due to gunshot wounds sustained to his stomach and ribs from the same accidental firing.

An initial investigation into the incident by Manila Police District-Homicide Sectoin said that accident took place at around 6 a.m. at Gate 62 near the Pasig Shoreline at the Parola Compound of Tondo.

The investigation also showed that 26-year-old Iggi Ingente arrived home drunk and was reprimanded by his wife Maritess for being drunk all the time – the heated argument nearly turned physical.

The brother of Maritess, 41-year-old Estilo Cinco got his shotgun to scare Ingente, but when he hit the butt of the shotgun it went off, hitting three victims who were standing nearby. Cindo later said he may have accidentally pulled the trigger.

Cindo ran from the scene of the crime, while Ingente appeared before the police to say that the entire incident was a result of an accident due to the fight between him and his wife.
