Tuguegarao City appeals to be included in ECQ aid

Tuguegarao City appealed to the government to also include them in local governments that are given assistance under enhanced community quarantine.

Meron pong Tuguegarao City that is existing in our country.

Tuguegarao City will be subjected to ECQ from Thursday, August 12 to August 21 due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

Pag ma-improve ang aming sitwasyon in 10 days time then we go back to the original GCQ with heightened protocols,” said Soriano.

In an interview with TeleRadyo, on Wednesday morning, Soriano said there have been 724 active COVID-19 cases in their city.

He said the city’s future is bleak, and even their hospitals, whether private or public, will be full and difficult.

“Isang mabigat na rason kung bakit nag-recommend kami ng ECQ, last August 6, 7, and 8 we had 9 deaths. From August 1 to date, we already had 17 deaths. From March last year to March this year, 24 lang deaths namin. Ngayon po 160 deaths namin,” he said.

“This is our 5th ECQ and iba ito kasi mas istrikto na kami ngayon,” he added.
