Tropical Depression Isang enters PAR

Tropical Depression Isang enters the Philippine Areas of Responsibility as it moves northwestward over the Philippine Sea.

The center of Tropical Depression “ISANG” was estimated based on all available data at 1,410 km East of Northern Luzon.

It has a maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and a central pressure of 1006 hPa.

No Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is currently in effect.

Tropical Depression Isang is unlikely to directly affect the weather condition in the country throughout the forecast period.

The latest forecast scenario for “ISANG” shows that the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals over any land area in the country is unlikely.

In the next 24 hours, Tropical Depression ISANG is less likely to cause rough sea conditions within the coastal waters of the country which may be risky to any type of sea vessel.

Tropical depression “ISANG” entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 10:00 AM today.

On the forecast track, this tropical depression is forecast to remain far from the Philippine archipelago and will move generally northwestward throughout the forecast period. “ISANG“ may likely exit the PAR by Sunday morning or afternoon.

ISANG is forecast to remain a tropical depression and may weaken into a low pressure area by Monday or possible earlier.

Meanwhile, nine months after typhoon  hit Metro Manila, there are still Filipinos who are still struggling to recover.

In the covered court of Barangay Bagong Silangan in Quezon City, at least 16 families are still living in tents after their houses were damaged during the height of the typhoon in November 2020.

According to Barangay Chairman Willy Cara, they have been in contact with the National Housing Authority for a long time to arrange for the relocation of the affected families.

He said the  went to the area five times for screening and said the families had passed for relocation. For now, the barangay is just waiting for the affected families to be delivered to the relocation sites.
