A top police official for the city has ordered increased police visibility in “gimmick spots” after three customers were stabbed to death and a young lady was shot on Friday.
Police are demanding more visibility in bars, coffee shops, restaurants and more on Magsaysay Avenue after the deadly spree this past week. Police are also urging business owners to employ security guards to protect patrons and themselves from violent incidents such as this.
On Friday 36-year-old Myra Irahe Reyes was shot by her former boyfriend inside the Red Cactus Bar and Grill. She survived but her attacker escaped on motorcycle.
Three others were killed, including a vacationing seaman after hanging out with friends turned into a deadly night – all three victims died, the two suspects in the stabbings were released on bail after homicide charges were filed against them instead of murder.
