Three cops caught Bulgarian ATM skimmer red-handed with 39 cloned cards

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Joel Pagdilao commended three officers for the arrest of a Bulgarian man they caught stealing money from ATM machines in the city.

Officers Jojie Banggalloay, Faith Joy Gawongna and Romel Buland were responsible for the arrest of 28-year-old Simeon Tsennov Lafterski after they caught him using skimming money at Market-Market Mall in Taguig City.

Both Gawongna and Banggalloay were patrolling the mall when they noticed Lefterski repeatedly withdrawing money from an ATM on November 8.

When questioned and searched, the Bulgarian was in possession of 39 ATM cards. The cards were later confirmed ‘cloned’.

Lefterski is now behind behind bars.
