Task force commander orders bring kidnapped British man, Filipina wife alive

Joint Task Force (JTF) Hyrons Commander Major Gen. Roberto Ancan ordered his staff yesterday to bring the kidnapped British man and Filipina wife alive. The couple was abducted last week at their resort in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

Ancan made the order while he and his troops conduct a search and rescue operation rescue the couple, Arthur Allan and Wilma Hyrons.

“All available naval and air assets in the area are being utilized by Task Force Hyrons to conduct intensive maritime and aerial operations to intercept and block all possible withdrawal routes of the perpetrators,” said AFP Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana.

Sobejena revealed that they already were looking at “persons of interest” for the couple’s abduction. However, they chose not to release the details yet.

As of now, Sobejana said there was still “no proof of life,” and kidnappers have not demanded any ransom yet.

3 composite sketches of kidnappers released

Police already released three facial composite sketches captured by CCTV.

In an earlier report, police showed a composite sketch seen in CCTV footage. The suspect has a brown complexion, moderate physique, between 5’4-5’6 tall, approximately 30-35 years old, and weighs 75-80 kilograms.

The second suspect (picture below) was one of the two kidnappers who checked-in at the beach resort owned by a kidnapped British man and Filipina wife. He was believed to be 20 to 30 years old.

Police also released a computerized facial composite of a middle-aged man standing at least 5’3″. Authorities said he was one of those who dragged the victims to a motorized boat.

“The provincial government of Zamboanga del Sur will be giving P1 million reward for anyone who may give information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects and rescue of the victims. Your cooperation and support is highly appreciated,” PNP Police Regional Office 9 Facebook post read.
