Six were confirmed dead after Java Pension House burned in Bacolod City today, November 26.
It was 4:30 am on Tuesday, November 26, when the fire started at Java Pension House in Gonzaga Street.
Bacolod Fire Chief Publio Ploteña said the fire reached the third alarm. It was declared fire out at 6:00 am, and when the firefighters entered the burnt building, six were found lifeless.
Fifteen people were initially reported to have been rescued by firefighters in the wake of the fire.
A motorcycle in the hallway of the ground floor of the facility is said to have started the fire.
