Suffering severe depression: K-Pop star, actress Sulli found dead

K-Pop star and actress Sulli was found dead at her home south of Seoul on Monday, October 14.

Sulli, a former member of the top girl group f(x), was found dead by her manager at her home. She was only 25 years old and reportedly suffering from “severe depression.”

The actress was not answering phone calls for hours, so her manager visited her at her house in Seongnam.

Kim Seong-Tae, an officer from the Seongnam Sujeong Police Department, said they found no signs of foul play. The police also said they did not see any suicide note.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we won’t make presumptions about the cause of death,” said Kim, adding that security camera footage at Sulli’s home showed no signs of an intrusion.

Sulli started her career in 2009 as a member of the girl band “f(x).” She temporarily stopped in 2014 and left the group in 2015 to focus on her acting projects.

Sulli’s most remembered show in the Philippines was “To the Beautiful You” in 2012, wherein she disguised as a boy to be with his dream guy who was studying at an all-boys-school.

Meanwhile, f(x) member Amber Liu announced she would put all her upcoming activities on hold because of Sulli’s death.

Super Junior, who was making a comeback, also canceled its live podcast on Monday.
