Rommel Galido, John Pascual Dela Serna and John Paul Halili appeared in the media Wednesday night, 3 of the 11 considered suspects in the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera.
At around 7 pm, the Makati City Police released the three after the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office issued a resolution saying that a regular preliminary investigation into the case still needs to be done to determine if the flight attendant was actually raped and killed.
And if this does happen, it is also important to know the identity of the people responsible for it.
According to a preliminary report by the Makati police, Dacera was found dead on January 1 inside a hotel due to a “ruptured aortic aneurysm.” However, it later said that a possible rape-slay occurred.
Addressing the media, Halili burst into tears when he recounted the hardship he suffered because of the situation.
“Hirap na hirap na kasi ang pamilya ko, buong pamilya ko. Wala naman kaming kasalanan,” he said.
He also called on the public not to judge them immediately.

“Sana, alamin muna nila kung ano talaga. Ako, pumunta ako dito para magbigay ng salaysay. Tapos, bigla na lang nila kami kinuha. Nakikipagtulungan lang kami sa kanila. Binigay lang namin kung ano iyong alam namin,” he added.
Galido, on the other hand, appealed to Christine Dacera’s family whom he said he considered a close friend.
“Para sa pamilya ni Christine, nararamdaman ko rin ang sakit na nararamdaman nila. Si Christine, parang naging kapatid ko na rin po siya. Mahal na mahal ko po si Christine,” said Galido.
Dela Serna hopes the flight attendant’s family will be enlightened.
“Christine, kung nasaan ka man ngayon, i-clear mo ang mind ng mom mo, na wala kami kasalanan dito. Alam mo kung gaano ka namin kamahal. At ang tanging hiling namin ay parati mo bantayan ang pamilya mo at mga kabigan mo. Alam mo kung gaano ka namin kamahal, kasi part ka na ng buhay namin. At ngayon, mahirap tanggapin na wala ka na,” said Dela Serna.
The 3 refused to answer what happened during their time with Dacera at the New Year’s Eve party at a hotel in Makati.
Their lawyer said such details are already part of the preliminary investigation.
