Sun Life Insurance Company, also known as Sun Life Canada, is the country’s leading insurance brand, according to the Campaign Asia-Pacific’s report on the nation’s Top 100 brands.
Sun Life was the only insurance company to make it to the list based on the Nielsen survey.
The survey took on 14 different categories, including retail sectors, restaurants, food, electronics, financial services, media, automotive, travel and leisure and more. Out of the grouping, Sun Life ranked 83rd in the heavily contested field of brands.
Sun Life was also only one of three financial service providers to make the list. “It’s an honour to be a brand that Filipinos believe in, because earning their trust is crucial to our mission of helping them achieve financial freedom,” Sun Life chief marketing officer Mylene Lopa said.
“We’re happy to be among the top 100 brands because it means we are generating interest in insurance as a whole. Insurance penetration in the country is still quite low, and Sun Life is determined to continuously address this via our financial literacy advocacy and the expansion of our reach.” she added.
