Areas in Muntinlupa under lockdown increasing

A residential building in Muntinlupa City has been subjected to so-called “extreme localized community quarantine.”

Eight areas have been locked down in the city due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

According to Tez Navarro, head of the Muntinlupa City Public Information Office, they added Building 2 in the Bliss Complex in Barangay Putatan to the list of areas of concern. The lockdown began Monday night and will last until Sept. 7th.

According to the City Health Office, there are 13 active COVID-19 cases in the building, with a population of 80. The attack rate is high, and there are still children and the elderly living, so it was decided to lock down the area.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi has already spoken to the leadership of the Bliss Homeowners Association and said that no resident could leave for 15 days unless it is an emergency.

The Bliss Complex has 7 buildings, but only Building 2 was put on lockdown.
