Three people were shot dead by a soldier inside a videoke  bar in Jaro, Iloilo City, on Thursday morning.

Two men and a woman were shot dead, the woman worked as a waitress at the bar – another waitress was injured in the attack as well.

Police say the owner of the bar, Alejandro Molabola, scolded PFC Baltazar Nacion for singing too loud. Instead of listening to the owner, the soldier attacked him which led to a major commotion inside the bar.

The two soldiers returned to the bar and started firing their weapons – recovered from the scene were slugs from a gun and Nacion’s identification card.

1Lt. Fidel Adrian Diño, commander of the Bravo Company of the 19th Infantry Battalion brought Nacion and another suspect, PFC Robert Abrantes, to the police.

He also agreed to turn over the weapons used in the incident – Nacion and Abrantes will face numerous criminal and administrative charges for the death of the three people, as well as wounding the other in the attack.
