Mark David “Cue” Tan, aged 37, will be charged tomorrow (Thursday, December 14) for sex trafficking after being caught in a Cebu City motel with one of the girls.

Chief Inspector Mercy Villaro of Mandaue City Police’s Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) told the SunStar that the girls were pimped out by two of their two friends.

She said one was tenth-grade schoolmate of the girls, who she identified under the alias ‘Princess’. The other was named as M J Jordan, and described as an 18-year-old resident of Talamban.

Princess and Jordan had somehow instigated contact with Cue and agreed to provide him with 14-year-old girls for sex.

Princess convinced one of the 14-year-olds, who has not been identified, but will be referred to as ‘Anna’, to meet Cue and have sex for pay.

On October 1, Anna met Cue at a fast food restaurant in a shopping mall in the North Reclamation Area. He then took the girl to a nearby motel where they had sex.

Anna told investigators that Cue paid her 3,000 pesos, 1,000 of which she passed on the Princess and Jordan.

Nine days later, Anna’s friend ‘Nicky’ was also persuaded to meet Cue. She told investigators that she agreed to have sex with him, despite being on her period at the time.

Then, last Friday (December 8) Anna and Nicky decided to tell their school’s guidance counsellor about their two pimps.

The counsellor then called in the girls’ parents, who reported the incident to the police.

On Monday, Nicky received a text message from Cue, asking to meet her again, which she shared with WCPD agents.

An entrapment operation was launched, and Cue was arrested at a motel later that day.

Police are continuing to hunt for Princess and Jordan.

The two girls have undergone medical and psychological tests in Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
