A decapitated head has been discovered in the region of Jolo, Sulu, late Monday night – some five hours after Abu Sayyaf claimed they beheaded Canadian captive Robert Hall.
Police in Jolo said the head was placed inside of a plastic bag, and was discovered around 9pm along Sanchez Street near the Carmelite Cathedral district in Jolo.
Originally thought to be an explosive device, crime scene operatives inspected the plastic bag to find a head inside of an old Caucasian man.
Police are not immediately saying the head belongs to Robert Hall but have said that based on the description, the discovery fits the Canadian.
