The M/V Tawash was transporting 32 passengers to the port of Jordan on Guimaras, leaving the port of Iloilo City when it was battered by strong winds and huge waves.
The boat capsized at 4.30pm, about a mile off the coast of the port of Iloilo.
Two other passengers are missing and presumed dead, including the mother and father of the two young boys, CJ Gamotea and Shine Mata.
Two other passengers were confined to a local hospital – they are Cherry Silverio and Chris John Cepada.
