Kazunobu Sakamoto, aged 33, was charged with illegal possession of ammunition after two 9mm bullets were apparently found “hidden” inside the breast pocket of a long-sleeve shirt in his luggage.

Aviation Security Group, which covers Manila’s NAIA airport, claim to have found the bullets when Sakamoto was about to board a Philippines Airlines flight to Haneda, Japan.

Sakamoto was arrested after he failed to show documentation for carrying the ammunition – he was charged on Monday with violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

As yet, no members of the Aviation Security Group pulling this well-worn scam have faced any disciplinary action.
