Even no. 1 in survey, Sara Duterte can still be beaten in 2022-analysts

Even though Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is now ahead of the polls for a possible presidency in 2022, there is still hope for others seeking the top office in the Philippines next year, according to some political analysts.

On Tuesday, Pulse Asia Research released its “Ulat ng Bayan” survey in June, in which 28% of Filipinos said they would vote for the presidential daughter for the presidency, a number that other candidates can chase, according to Stratbase ADR Institute president Dindo. Manhit.

Pero nakita nga natin ‘yung popularity ay ibang katanungan [kung] iboboto ba ang kanyang anak,” Manhit said in an interview with Radyo Singko, Wednesday.

In the latest Pulse Asia survey, the Duterte-Duterte tandem, the team of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and President Rodrigo Duterte, are leading the way in the possible run for president and vice president in Election 2022.

In an interview with Philstar.com in June, Michael Yusingco, a senior research fellow at the Ateneo Policy Center, said those who want to challenge the administration and their allies in 2022 are still hopeful – as long as they use the right strategy.
