San Juan City targets to vaccinate 4K daily

San Juan City Mayor Francisc Zamora announced that by June, the San Juan City government is targeting to vaccinate up to 4,000 residents per day against COVID-19.

According to Zamora, they can currently administer 1,800 doses per day at their inoculation site at the FilOil Flying V Center.

However, he said they want more residents to be vaccinated by June, opening another inoculation site at Greenhills Shopping Center.

“Iyan po ay lalaki pa dahil po simula Hunyo ay magbubukas na rin ho kami sa Greenhills Shopping Center bilang paghahanda na rin ‘yan sa ating A4 na karamihan sa ating economic frontliners ay dito po nagtatrabaho sa Greenhills Shopping Center,” the mayor said.

“Magbubukas na ho ang A4 o ‘yung economic frontliners plus ‘yung A5 ‘yung ating indigent population. He said this is 26% of their target population to achieve herd immunity. He added that so far, the supply of vaccines delivered in the city is still sufficient.

He said San Juan City has already received 11,700 doses of Pfizer vaccines, 12,000 doses of AstraZeneca, and 10,000 doses of Sinovac.

Meanwhile, some individuals claimed that they could get vaccination slots in some LGUs for P8,000 to P12,000. The cities of Mandaluyong and San Juan were mentioned in the messages. The  of both cities said it was a scam, emphasizing that vaccines in their cities are given for free.

San Juan has also taken action where there are also reports of the vaccine slots for sale.

“Agad-agad nga natin pinatawagan yung binebentahan ng supposedly San Juan vaccines para makakuha ng impormasyon, ngayon nung sinusubukan namin tawagan yung supposedly seller hindi na rin ma-contact. So malinaw na ito ay isang ,” said San Juan Mayor Francis .

Those with information on the alleged vaccine slots for sale are urged to report to the police through “E-Sumbong,” an online system that aims to address citizens’ complaints within their communities quickly.
