Robredo still mum on 2022 election plan

No matter what the pressure, whether from his supporters or the media, Vice President Leni Robredo would rather focus on strengthening the vaccination program than the 2022 election.

But Robredo also admitted that she allegedly talked to Manila Mayor Isko and other possible opposition candidates for the 2022 elections.

“Merong mga initial exploratory talks not just with Mayor Isko, but with some other contenders, hindi ko muna sasabihin kasi wala ako authority pero nandu’n kami sa exploratory, ano ba ‘yung commonalities natin na puwede pag-agree-han natin and willing ba tayo na umupo,” said Robredo.

She also did not mind that she ranked low in the latest Pulse Asia survey.

“Para sa akin aasikasuhin ko na muna ang trabaho, kung ang gustong sabihin niyan hindi tataas ang numero ko hindi bale na, basta ginawa ko ang trabaho ko.”

In the latest , the Duterte-Duterte tandem, the team of City Mayor -Carpio and , are leading the way in the possible run for president and vice president in Election 2022.

Manila Mayor Francisco  Moreno [14%], former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. followed. [13%], and Senator Grace Poe [10%].

Robredo still mum on 2022 election plan

The list also includes Senator Manny Pacquiao [8%], Vice-President Maria Leonor Robredo [6%], and Senator Panfilo Lacson [4%].

Also on the list are Senator [3%], former vice president Jejomar “Jojo” Binay, former Speaker , and former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, who got 2% each.

Robredo also said that if she happens to become president and ’s plan to become VP goes ahead, she will not do what Duterte did to her.

“I will not treat him the way he treated me.”

Robredo assured that the right time would come for her to decide whether or not she will run for the presidency in the 2022 election.

Meanwhile, Senator Panfilo Lacson said that he and Senate President Vicente Sotto will continue to be the presidential and vice-presidential candidates in Election 2022.

“Nabasa na talampakan namin sa Tour of Luzon kaya tuloy-tuloy [na] lulusong na kami,” Lacson confirms with GMA News on Tuesday.
