A 30-year-old robber was arrested for stealing a kiss, then snatching the bag of a beautiful lady yesterday in Parañaque City.
Senior Superintendent Ariel Andrade, chief of Parañaque City police, identified the suspect as Jeffrey Francisco of Dimagdalin Street, Taguig City.
Francisco’s arrest came after his victim, identified as 30-year-old Karen Leslie Rozalinda, a resident of Azure Residence, Bicutan, Taguig City, screamed for help after the man grabbed her purse and ran.
Rozalinda told police she was walking at the overpass of Bicutan Interchange at around 10:00 p.m. on her way home when the suspect suddenly stole a kiss from her before grabbing her bag. Rozalinda claims the bag contained her Samsung cellphone, 1,300 peso cash cash, various ID and ATM cards.
She said she screamed, catching the attention of a group of workers of the Philippine National Construction Corportation who chased the suspect until they nabbed him.
At the police station, the suspect said he stole a kiss from the victim because he missed his wife, so much.
Fancisco is being held at the Taguig police detention station facing robbery charges.
