Respondents on Dacera’s case hope Christine’s mother finds peace

The respondents on Christine Dacera’s case hope that the flight attendant’s mother, Sharon, would finally find the peace she’s been wishing for.

In an interview on Thursday, Gregorio Angelo Rafael “Gigo” De Guzman said he and other respondents are trying to understand what Mrs. Dacera is going through, despite the accusations that they were involved in the death of her 23-year-old daughter.

“I’ve always said that, I wanted to tell you that I understand that whatever happened, we’ve been trying to understand her side of it because of course she just lost a daughter,” De Guzman told ANC.

“I hope that you find the peace that you’ve been wanting… I hope you can help us find our peace and relief from all this trauma and torture,” he added.

An investigation by the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory revealed that the cause of death of flight attendant  was a “natural cause.”

In a medico-legal report from the PNP crime lab dated January 11 submitted to Makati prosecutor on Wednesday, it was said that Dacera died of a “ruptured aortic aneurysm” caused by high blood pressure.

As a result, it appears from their analysis that Christine Dacera was not killed.

“All we want is for it to be over. We want to move on with our lives. We want to restart it because we don’t even know where to start…” De Guzman said.

“If there’s one lesson is the fear of doing the right thing, we’ve been trying to help because people will take it out of context, people will antagonize you if they want to for their own entertainment,” he added.

Meanwhile, another respondent, Clark Rapinan, said their reputation was destroyed by the controversial death of Dacera.

“Sirang-sira na po ‘yung reputation namin. Gustung-gusto na po namin bumalik sa normal ‘yung buhay namin. May mga pamilya din po kami na sobrang naapektuhan. Sobrang naapektuhan lahat, pamilya namin, trabaho namin…” he said.

“Nagsasabi po kami ng totoo. ‘Yun po ang masasabi ko, kami po ang nandoon ng gabing ‘yun. Hanggang alas-otso ng umaga, inaalagaan ko po si Tin,” Rapinan said.
