Those who tested negative for the virus did self-isolation as well.

Yarra said 184 QCPD PS-3 personnel underwent the RT-PCR Test on July 23, but only on Tuesday did their test results come out, and it was found that 82 of them tested positive for the virus.

Yarra also confirmed that of the total 184 Station 3 personnel, 94 of them were deployed in President Duterte’s SONA on Monday, and most were assigned as Route security along Commonwealth Avenue.

“May mga kasama sa kanila na nag-duty sa SONA, actually ang talagang na-involved lamang sa SONA ay kalahati lamang ng police station, at most 90 ‘yun lang ang nag-detail, the rest naiwan sa police station to continue the regular police functions of the police station 3,” said Yarra.

Yarra also assured that they would continue to make contract tracing with those who have encountered positive police officers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In this regard, Yarra also advised the public to avoid going to the PS-3 office to avoid infectious diseases.

Meanwhile, Philippine National Police chief Police General  said Thursday that the Police Station 3 commanded in Quezon City had been relieved after he deployed cops with pending COVID-19 test results to President Rodrigo Duterte’s last State of the Nation Address (SONA) last Monday.

Eleazar said administrative relief was given to Police Station 3 commander Lieutenant Colonel Cristine Tabdi due to command responsibility.

“In view of the apparent breach of protocol when most of these PNP personnel were deployed for SONA duties even if they were still waiting for their  results, I have already ordered the administrative relief of the Station Commander, Police Station 3 of the QCPD, for command responsibility,” he said.
