The police are looking into the fact that there is a possible love triangle involved in the attack, Ungab is seven weeks pregnant.

Tui suffered injuries to her head an other parts of her body after Ungab struck her with a baseball bat several times.

One eyes witness noted the scene looked like it came straight out of a TV soap opera.

Ungab was inside her Nissan Navarra pick-up, waiting for Tiu to come out from where she was working at around 5pm Thursday.

As Tiu was about to drive her car, Ungab put her foot on the gas pedal of her own vehicle – the Nissan Navarra pick-up – and rammed Tiu’s red-painted Toyota Vios.

Ungab then got out from her vehicle and started smashing the lawyer’s car with a baseball bat. She then grabbed the door handle to open Tiu’s car and proceeded to hit the lawyer with the same bat.

Ungab attempted to drag the victim out of her car but the lawyer shouted for help, catching the attention of the police.

Ungab was arrested and brought to a detention cell. The police then sent her to the hospital after they realized she was seven weeks pregnant.

The lady lawyer declined to comment on insinuations that Ungab hit her car because she suspected that she and her husband were having an affair.

“I have already filed a criminal complaint so let the judicial process takes its course,” Tiu told reporters after the inquest proceedings before Assistant City Prosecutor Liceria Rabillas

Tiu, who passed the bar in April 2010, said she used to work as an associate lawyer in the vice mayor’s law office but eventually left because of a threat she received from Ungab.
