Woman caught for selling fake property online

A woman involved in online scams was arrested in an entrapment operation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) after she allegedly used a fake photo of the property she was pretending to sell.

NBI personnel waited for the suspect Shai Ann Fernando at a money remittance center in Baguio City.

This is because the complainant and the NBI sent a P10,000 downpayment on the alleged 311 square meters of land in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

He said Fernando’s modus operandi is to post fake pictures of the properties she sells.

Fernando’s nephew took the money to the money remittance center but when the NBI saw that he had handed the money to the suspect, she was arrested here.

The NBI found out that the suspect had 4 warrants of arrest in Palawan and she hid in Baguio City, where she continued the fraud.

Fernando has been charged with multiple complaints.
