A police officer is facing a formal investigation after he beat up a Tarlac City newspaper journalist.
In his complaint, Bolos said the officer punched him the abdomen several times while hurlying abusive language at him.
The journalist said he and the officer have a long standing feud that was started by Almazan several years ago after he tried to assist a businessman to retrieve his two licensed pistols that the officer confiscated.
Bolos said that he later found out that Almazan sold one of the pistols.
Tarlac City Police are now assuring that a full investigation into the matter will push forward after administrative charges are filed against Almazan.
Bolos said he has now filed a criminal case against the officer before the Tarlac Prosecutor’s Office.
