A police captain in Angeles City has been arrested after a sting operation revealed he was selling drugs.
Chief Inspector Roger Ocampo was arrested along with a women in an undercover buy-bust. Ocampo is assigned to the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group 3 in Camp Olivas.
Ocampo will also face charges under Republic Act #9615 (the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The sting operation also revealed that another police officer is involved in the drug trade – he is SPO1 Almario, but he eluded police during the buy-bust operation.
Seized from the police captain was a 9mm Beretta along with 21 pieces of live ammunition – he was also in possession of the 2 sachets of shabu, one being from the sting.
Ocampo was also driving and Toyota Corolla which will be confiscated under the terms of the Philippines government against illegal drugs.
