Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach finally spoke up over the issues surrounding her family.
In an Instagram post, the beauty queen posted a family photo with her sister Sarah, her mother, niece, and nephew, saying, “this is a very hurtful time for our family.”
“My sister, especially, had a very traumatic experience, and I humbly ask everyone to be kind to her,” Pia appealed to the public.
She added their family is trying to resolve their issues privately.
“I ask for your support by not trying to put the blame on anyone and stop victim shaming,” Pia Wurtbach said.
The queen also asked netizens to stop bashing her sister Sarah. “Please be mindful on your posts and comments to Sarah, mabigat ang pinagdadaanan niya ngayon. Bilang anak at kapatid, napakasakit sa akin na makitang nagkakaganito ang mga taong mahal ko,” she said.
Pia also asked for prayers for her family’s healing. “Hiling ko na lang po sa inyo na isama nyo kami sa inyong mga dasal at sana mahanap na rin ng aming pamilya ang nararapat na healing,” she said.

“Sa panahon na ito, magpakita po tayo ng pagmamalasakit at pagmamahal sa isa’t isa. Maraming salamat po,” she added.
Last month, Sarah Wurtzbach posted a series of posts on Instagram, launching what seemed to be a “word war” against Pia Wurtzbach and mother due to money issues.
“Ang baho ng ugali mo. Dami mong kuda sorry wala. Tapos mangdadamay ng ibang tao wala naman sa usapan. Magsama kayo ni mama,” Sarah said tagging Pia Wurtzbach on IG.
She then lamented that Pia did not support her even though she was her only sister. “Kung alam lang ng ibang tao gano kabaho ugali nyo ni mama, di porke’t nanahimk ako ako na yung masama,” she said, cursing Pia and her mother.
Sarah then appealed to the public to stop hating the beauty queen.
“Stop hating on Pia. Yes I am angry and still am, but your words will not fix anything,” Sarah said.
