PDEA allegedly did not find ‘drug link’ for Michael Yang

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) director-general Wilkins Villanueva reiterated that former presidential adviser Michael Yang is not in the drug link in Davao City.

During the agency’s budget deliberation in the Senate, Sen. Ronald dela Rosa Villanueva on the issue.

He insisted, he returned all his files in the case operation, including the case operation of Eduardo Acierto, but no Michael Yang could be seen.

So Villanueva insisted, he did not know where Acierto was getting what was said in a video released.

“Hindi ko nga malaman saan niya kinuha itong Michael Yang na ito. As of now talagang wala kaming information about the participation of Michael Yang sa Dumoy clandestine laboratory in which Col. Acierto na ini-insist niya na na-find out niya,” said Villaneuva.

Dela Rosa said he just wanted the truth to come out.

When he was still the chief of the Davao City PNP, he was also ordered by the then Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to monitor Yang, but he did not see any connection to drugs.

Yang is currently being fired in the Senate for his alleged relationship with Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp, which won billions in government contracts in 2020.

The Senate is investigating whether the transactions will be anomalous, especially since it appears that Pharmally’s PPEs are allegedly overpriced.

Meanwhile, the  has placed former presidential  on economic affairs, Michael Yang, under the lookout bulletin.

Michael Yang, also known as Yang Hong Ming, is one of the subjects of an ongoing Senate investigation on the budget utilization of government-procured  response supplies.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said that the Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) was issued following an order from the Department of Justice (DOJ) as requested by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chair, Senator Richard Gordon.

“This matter is of national interest. We have made the proper arrangements, and our immigration officers are now on the lookout for the possible departure of the suspect personalities,” Morente said.
