Chat’s story, his brother Flor tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to the isolation facility on Tuesday.

No one allegedly helped the patient to carry her belongings. Flor also did not receive food that day.

“Sabi niya, ‘Ate, gutom na gutom na ako. Pagod na pagod na ako. Ang taas ng lagnat ko,'” said Chat. Flor is also said to be weak, has diarrhea and vomiting.

The next day, they sent Flor food such as a fast-food meal, fruit, and sports drinks. However, the patient did not reach the fruit and sports drink because the hospital admin said it was “trash.”

“Paano magiging basura eh kabibili lang, kaka-provide lang nung umaga,” said Chat.

He also said that patients do not have access to clean water at the facility.

He allegedly worried about his sister on Wednesday night and that the hospital was “very accommodating” after they complained.

In a statement by Dr. Rolly Cruz, head of the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit, the food provided to all COVID-19 patients brought to the HOPE 4 Facility was complete, as well as the medicine.

It is possible that there are many patients, so the patient was not treated immediately.

Due to the increase in COVID 19 cases, some areas in Quezon City have again been subjected to special concern lockdown recently.

According to information from the city’s local government, the number of locked-down areas has risen to 24 after the following fall into the said classification starting this August:

A compound in Cordillera Street, Barangay Doña ;
A place at Bagong Buhay St, Barangay Santo Niño; at
A compound in Barangay Kaligayahan.
The lockdown will last 14 days in each area.

The special concern lockdown only covers a specific area and not the entire barangay.
