A man bound for Butuan City was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) after he went berserk, punching a police officer in the back and knocking down a computer at a check-in counter.
While waiting, Jayson Escartin, aged 32, suddenly pulled down the counter and a computer monitor. When police were called by the duty manager of Cebu Pacific, Escartin punched him in the back.
Escartin was asked for verification of his flight, but no booking was found.
Charges for assaulting an officer as well as other pending charges were brought against Escartin at Terminal one’s police station.
