Dejos and the conductor, Ameline “Amy” Sembrana, were former live-in partners and they had three children, BFP-QC operations chief Fire Chief Inspector Joseph del Mundo said.

The two fire victims fought inside the bus allegedly due to Sembrana’s new partner.

According to a witness, Dejos suddenly accosted the bus conductor and the two had a scuffle.

(The man accosted the conductor and pushed her towards the end of the bus. The female conductor fell and when she stood up, she also pushed the man.)

Balak niya siguro magpakamatay, niliyaban niya rin,” the witness added.

(The man then took out something with kerosene inside. He suddenly spilled the gas on the woman and set her on fire. He also had gas on his body. He might want to commit suicide so he also set himself on fire.)

According to Del Mundo, no one has so far claimed the remains of Dejos which are at Rizalde Funeral Services in Barangay Payatas in Quezon City.

Reports said that Dejos’ relatives were in Cebu.

Dejos’ twin brother who already passed away was allegedly the conductor’s former husband.

The bus conductor left her nine children, including twins who are only a year old.

The victim’s family said they had no choice but to accept what happened to Sembrana since the suspect also died in the bus fire.
