Pampanga extends household lockdown, curfew and liquor ban until April 15

The existing household lockdown, curfew, and liquor ban in Pampanga province have been extended until April 15.

Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda announced that Executive Order No. 5-2021 from 5th April to 15th April.

It will be recalled that it was first implemented on March 20 which would have lasted only until April 5. But due to the continuous increase of COVID-19 cases and the overcrowded COVID centers and medical facilities in the province, the household lockdown, liquor ban, and curfew are still strictly enforced.

Mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields will continue, and only those aged 18 to 60 will be allowed out.

Free COVID-19 testing will also be available for senior citizens with COVID-19 symptoms from April 1 to 11, 2021.

Relatives can register with the captains or barangay health workers to avail of a free swab. Captains will take the senior citizens to the swabbing site.

It is also mandatory to place a plastic divider or barrier on Barangay Patrol vehicles.

For non-residents of the province and unauthorized persons outside residence (APOR) who intend to go to Pampanga, it is necessary to show a negative RT-PCR test result.

Strict enforcement of 50 percent capacity in establishments and compliance with minimum safety protocols of the government.

The provincial government will also form a technical working group in collaboration with private and public hospitals in Pampanga to solve the problem of the overcrowded COVID-19 centers and health facilities in the province.

As of its last record March 30, there were 114 new COVID-19 cases in the province. There are also a total of 1,444 active cases.

A total of 2,446 people were caught violating quarantine protocols in the province.

“Ang paghihigpit na ginagawa natin sa probinsya ay para maibaba natin ang COVID cases natin sa probinsya… Ito pong March 16 to 30, pumalo po ang cases natin sa 1,500, triple po sa mga nakaraan na cases natin. Halos pumapalo na po tayo ng 1,500. 15 days, so kailangan ho natin ng paghihigpit,” explained Pineda.
