PAL releases reminders for international travel

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Tuesday issued reminders for international travel as the government gradually eases restrictions on air travel.

It said passengers leaving the Philippines must accomplish the Passenger Profile and Health Declaration (PPHD) form online five days before the flight departure.

“The online portal will be open for registration on November 10, 2020, for flights starting November 12, 2020,” the airline said.

Meanwhile, travelers bound for the US, Canada, and Australia are exempted from accomplishing the PPHD, but they “must accomplish the paper form upon airport check-in.”

Passengers going to Singapore are required to accomplish the PPHD paper form upon airport check-in, aside from the online registration.

It said that local manning agencies (LMAs) might register on behalf of their passengers.

“Travel requirements of foreign countries are subject to periodic adjustments, and as such, we do encourage you to also check the websites of foreign governments,” PAL said.

Meanwhile, effective November 11, 2020, the carrier said passengers may undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR testing at the Philippine Airlines Learning Center (PLC) located at 540 Padre Faura cor. Adriatico St. Ermita, Manila.

“Our Department of Health-accredited laboratory partner Detoxicare Molecular Diagnostics provides drive-thru or walk-in RT-PCR testing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at a cost of P4,500. Results are released within 24 hours,” it said.

“Payment options are: cash (PHP currency only), card (debit/credit), GCash, PayPal, WeChatPay, or Alipay,” it added.

Upon entering the testing center, passengers should show ID, plane ticket, and QR code proving a successfully registered passenger profile and health declaration online.

“Should you wish to avail of the services of other testing and lab partners of PAL, you may click the link for the complete listing: https://bit.ly/PALInternationalTestingPartners,” the airline said.

On the day of your flight, the completeness and validity of travel documents would be checked.
