Pag-IBIG Fund virtual offices launched for OFWs

Pag-IBIG Fund launched its virtual offices online on July 23, 2021, for OFWs. The agency aims to serve overseas Filipinos in the midst of the pandemic through its digital services and platforms.

Currently, Pag-IBIG virtual offices are available in the following countries or regions: North America, UK and Ireland, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, and Singapore.

“Another historic moment for Pag-IBIG Fund…the Pag-IBIG virtual offices are accessible online. This means that distance will no longer be a hindrance for our overseas Filipino workers,” said Sec. Eduardo Del Rosario, Chairman of Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees.

Any OFW Pag-IBIG Fund member can access the virtual office 24/7 via online.

“With just a smartphone and an internet connection, our members overseas can now do their transactions with Pag-IBIG Fund online, anytime, wherever they are.

Through the Pag-IBIG virtual offices, Filipino overseas would have the same access as our members in the Philippines to our Pag-IBIG savings programs, in particular, our very popular MP2 savings program, a secure savings facility that provides them high returns through annual dividend earnings,” explained Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti.

More than one million Pag-IBIG Fund members have registered their virtual Pag-IBIG accounts since the launch of virtual Pag-IBIG in December 2019. And even outside the Philippines, OFWs can apply for a housing loan via online transactions.

“Pag-IBIG virtual offices are accessible online via email, so you can just send us an email…and on Facebook with Filipinos overseas assured of receiving responsive and immediate service.

And…our virtual offices contain a special call back service for overseas Filipino workers through the use of virtual Pag-IBIG,” added Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy Moti.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III urged other government agencies to follow Pag-IBIG Fund technology to serve the greater number of Filipinos outside or inside the Philippines.
