The suspects are both residents of San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

PDEA Pangasinan team leader Retchie Camacho said in an interview that the PNP and PDEA considered Dadacay as a high-value target (HVT). The scope of the suspect’s drug operations reached other towns in central Pangasinan.

Camacho also said they have been conducting surveillance on Dadacay for some time, but he laid low and became active again in his illegal activities in last year.
“Dadacay is getting his supply of shabu from the National Capital Region. His driver Resuello was delivering essential goods, making him exempt from checkpoints, which made their travels and transactions easier,” he added.
The law enforcers also recovered a mobile phone, one L300 van, and three bundles of boodle money used from the suspects.
According to the information gathered by the Manila Bulletin, the L300 van was supposed for food delivery. One of the suspects used an Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ID, which said he was a farmer or trader of agriculture products.
Police also arrested drug suspects and seized 16 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 100 grams worth PHP600,000 during an entrapment operation.
The suspects were identified as Melody Sollum of Barangay Bonuan Gueset, and Dawn Mariel Mejia of Barangay Caranglaan.
The subject of the police’s operation is Sollum, but the entrapment happened at Barangay Caranglaan, Dagupan City leading also to the arrest of Mejia.
The suspects are now facing violations of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities pushed through with its war on drugs amid the COVID-19 pandemic and conducted different buy-bust operations nationwide.
PDEA-National Capital Region and Special Operations Unit 4 (SOU4) of PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) conducted Bulacan police’s biggest drug operation on June 4, where authorities seized P5.14 billion worth of shabu in a bodega.
Just four days after, police seized 36 large plastics of shabu worth P244,800,000.00 from a Chinese national and his Filipino driver who were both killed during the operation.
