Northern Police District police, with the help of the Manila Police District, seized 37 kilograms of marijuana from two teenagers during a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified the suspects as Celedonio Sorio, alias Doncel, 18, single, and Arnel Laparan, alias Nel Nel, 19, tricycle driver, and a fellow resident of GK Village, Baseco Compound, Tondo, Manila.
The NPD-Drug Enforcement Unit reported they carried out an anti-drug operation alongside MPD-Station 5 at the suspects’ area around 4 pm.
The operation was conducted after several drug suspects who were first arrested in San Miguel, Pasig City, where five kilograms of marijuana were seized on December 24, tipped the police that Sorio and Laparan are also selling marijuana.
Police identified the suspects and were able to trade to buy marijuana. Police immediately arrested the two suspects when the sale to the poseur buyer was carried out.
