P13.6-M worth shabu seized in Cotabato, drug suspect shot dead

A bigtime drug pusher was killed after a fight with the police, which resulted in the confiscation of P13.6 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Cotabato City Monday afternoon.

According to reports, Tohami Kamsa was included in the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group’s drug watchlist. The suspect has long been under the surveillance of the Cotabato City Police and Philippine Marines in Barangay Poblacion IX.

Kamsa allegedly fought the police after allegedly selling shabu to an undercover agent.

According to P / Col Richard Fiesta, chief of the Cotabato City Police, Kamsa was selling shabu in the city and surrounding areas.

Authorities seized two large packets of suspected shabu weighing 2 kilograms with an estimated value of P13.6 million, caliber .45 gun, and motorcycle during the operation.

Kamsa had previously surrendered to Barangay Capt. Jonas Mohammad but did not cooperate.

3 drug personalities dead in Batangas buy-bust

Three suspected drug pushers were killed after they allegedly attacked authorities during a police buy-bust operation of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Calaca, Batangas.

One of the victims was identified as Paolo Jhonnel Camantique, while authorities are still investigating the identity of the two other suspects.

According to the Camp Crame report, the combined elements of the Calaca Police, Dasmariñas City Police, and PDEA in Sitio Matala, Brgy. Cahil, Calaca, Batangas launched the operation at around 8:30 pm.

The suspects sensed that it was an entrapment operation after the drug was handed over to the undercover agent who posed as a buyer. As a result, the suspects pulled out a gun and fired at the operatives, which resulted in a shootout that killed the three suspects.

Authorities recovered three guns, marked money, and a Mitsubishi Montero with an AAP 4056 plate used in the transaction from the suspects.

On Sunday, police operatives seized around P7.4 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested four drug suspects in separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Dagupan and Binmaley.

On June 4, PDEA-National Capital Region and Special ­Operations Unit 4 (SOU4) of PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) conducted Bulacan police’s biggest drug operation where authorities seized P5.14 billion worth of shabu in a bodega.

Just four days after, police seized 36 large plastics of shabu worth P244,800,000.00 from a Chinese national and his Filipino driver who were both killed during the operation.
