P100M worth of shabu seized from Chinese national in QC

Police arrested a Chinese national for selling shabu in a drug buy-bust operation at Quezon Memorial Circle, Wednesday.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), they have been monitoring Chinese national Hong Bo Hee for a long time now.

Authorities recovered up to 15 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P100 million from Chinese national Hong.

PDEA suspected that the illegal drugs were from mainland China, then a big syndicate here in the Philippines distribute them.

Four Chinese nationals arrested in March for P1.3 billion worth of shabu

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized 166.5 kilograms of shabu in the linked raids on March 19.

The agents seized from them 43.5kg of shabu — or crystal meth  worth an estimated 295 million pesos.

The second operation, a raid, took place at 6.30 pm at Ayala Alabang Village, where the agents seized 123kg of shabu worth an estimated one billion pesos.

Speaking at a late-night press briefing, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said: “Based on the packaging, these drugs came from the Golden Triangle of drug syndicates. This is the same packaging seized by other nations such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, the same packaging. It’s actually in the form of teabags that they put into biscuit tins.
