Authorities seized about P1-million worth of marijuana in Brgy Kasapa 1, Loreto, Agusan del Sur on Tuesday.
According to the report of Caraga Police Director Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., Loreto Municipal Police Station (MPS), Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and 1303rd Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFC) conducted a marijuana eradication operation in the mountainous part of the said area.
According to Esquivel, the police took about 20 hours to reach the vast marijuana plantation. It was about 10 am when the farm was discovered where operatives immediately pulled down 19-pound marijuana plants worth P1.04 million.
“Most of the uprooted marijuana plants were burned in the area while a sample of recovered marijuana was brought to Agusan del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for screening and confirmatory testing,” said the official.

During the initial investigation, the victim reported Monday that police officer Carpio had raped her.
Authorities immediately investigated the complaint and arrested the suspect who is now under the custody of the Quezon Provincial Police Office.
