Over P600-K worth of shabu seized in Davao City

Up to P592,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two men in a buy-bust operation in Jade Valley in Brgy. Sand, Davao City Saturday afternoon.

The suspects were identified as Khozen Villar, 30, and Kirl Bagohin, 34.

Villar is on the list of drug pushers in the area and has long been monitored by the authorities.

He and his friend Bagohin allegedly sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer.

The two allegedly carried two more sachets of illegal drugs. Authorities also recovered two revolvers.

The suspects have been charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

Meanwhile, seven suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in which P136,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by authorities in Brgy. Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga on Tuesday.

According to authorities, they closed a drug den and 33 plastic sachets of shabu were confiscated.

The contraband seized weighed about 20 grams.

Barangay health worker caught with shabu in Cagayan

A barangay health worker was arrested after allegedly being caught with shabu in Camalaniugan town, Cagayan last Sunday.

According to Police Capt. Aleeh Bacuyag, chief of the Camalaniugan Police, said they conducted a search operation on the house of a 32-year-old woman due to information that she was allegedly selling and using shabu.

“As per revelation nung mga unang nahuli po namin, kasali po siya sa mga bumabalik at saka gumagamit,” said Bacuyag.

The operation allegedly tested positive and the police found in the suspect’s room a pouch containing four sachets of shabu.

“Ang source po nila is coming from Metro Manila,” said Bacuyag.

The suspect, who was found to be one of the respondents in Barangay Bulala and completed a community-based rehabilitation and wellness program in 2019, turned out to be negative in the drug test.

Two .45 and .38 caliber bullets were confiscated from the suspect.

Complaints have been filed against the suspect for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and illegal possession of ammunitions.
